My story happened just a little over 20 years ago when I was a young teenager. My parents had our house built in a newly developed area of town about 3 years prior.

My best friend lived across the road at the time and one day we were just sitting around my bedroom with another girlfriend when she suggested we have a seance.

I will call my best friend "Jane" and my other teenage friend "Noni" to help with the story (not their real names)
Neither Noni nor myself had ever done this before, so we let Jane take control of the situation.

Jane made a mock ouija board out of drawn letters on paper and used a small clear drinking glass as a planchette.
She instructed our friend and myself to place a finger on the glass with hers so she could begin.

It wasnt long before a spirit was in contact with us and the glass began moving. Noni and myself thought Jane must have been tricking us, but when Jane took her finger away, the glass kept moving around on my bedside table.
Noni and myself swore that neither of us were moving it.

I can only recall the first spirit's surname being "Bartch" and he told us he was murdered. This did not seem to faze us much and we proceeded to ask him 'girly' questions concerning a friendship group we had at school. We asked him who was going to leave the group first. He proceeded to spell out names in order.

We spoke to two other spirits that night, but the details are too fuzzy to remember here. After all, it was 20 years ago and I didnt think too much of it after that day- well not until many years later!
As school life continued, I did notice that girlfriends left the group in the order that Mr Bartch said they would.
At the time I put it down to just pure coincedence.
But some strange unexplained things did start to occur in my home afterwards, especially in my bedroom.

I recall complaining to my father about a 'scratching' noise I would often here in the corner of my room, in the ceiling. One day he went to investigate, and even placed rat/mice poison up there, however, he never did see any sign of an animal living in the ceiling. The noise was especially apparent at night time and it would last for about an hour at a time.
Another time, while my family were in the living room, we heard a loud crash coming from the kitchen. When we went in to have a look, we found a broken glass shattered on the bench top.

Then when I was 16, my youngest brother was born and my parents decided to build 2 more rooms onto the back of the house. My older brother and I later moved into these rooms and my baby brother took my bedroom.

When my baby brother started waking and crying nonstop, my parents would end up placing him in their bed. My mother tried the controlled crying method but nothing worked, my brother did not want to stay in his cot.
Eventually my parents gave in for the sake of getting some sleep and let him sleep with them. My father on the otherhand, could not sleep and his bed would eventually become the single bed that was still in my 'old' bedroom.

One morning as I was getting ready for school, my father asked me if I had felt the 'earth quake' the night before.
I was puzzled and asked him why and he proceeded to tell me how in the early hours of the morning he woke to feel the bed shaking quite vigorously. As he sat up in bed, the shaking subsided and then stopped. He had brushed it off as an 'earthquake' and went back to sleep.
We listened to the radio and tv that morning for any news of an earth quake, but there was nothing.

Another morning he asked me what I was trying to tell him in the early hours of the morning, thinking I had stopped to talk to him on the way to the bathroom. I told him I never went to the bathroom that morning. He was puzzled because he swore he had heard a female voice talking to him and thought it was me.

There was something that had happened to my father in that bedroom, that he never told me but told my grandmother did instead. She informed me only last year, how one night my father had seen a dark figure standing in the corner of that bedroom. This had really frightened him and I guess he didnt want to frighten any of us by telling us at the time.

My parents went on to sell that house 2 years after I finished highschool and it has since had a couple of more owners.

A clairvoyant told me last year I had unleashed 3 unpleasant spirits in that bedroom and that they are all still there.

Last year I brought it up in conversation with my father, of the strange occurences in that bedroom and what the clairvoyant had said about it. I told him for the first time that I once held a seance in that bedroom. I didnt think he would believe in that kind of thing, but I guess the experiences must had left a lasting impression when he answered 'well that explains a lot!'
